Yesterday was a whirlwind of chores and activity. All of the sudden, I felt like I *had* to get all those little tasks checked off our To Do list.
I don’t know what came over me… But I got all of this done!
Scrubbed the master bathroom – it was definitely looking neglected.
Swapped around a bunch of wall art and paintings. I’ve been wanting to move everything to better locales for a while now.
Cleaned my closet (kind of – my version of cleaning the closet involves stuffing everything into drawers. But at least the floor is clear!).
Backyard duty – picked up all the storm sticks, raked the leaves, took down Christmas lights (arg – don’t judge!), and generally picked up. Henry was actually a HUGE help with this project, as he is obsessed with sticks to begin with.
Primed the powder room. Lordy, I hate painting. But priming is the first step!
Please ignore the tiny potty…
And we went to not one, not two, but THREE grocery stores yesterday as I prepared a post about bargain shopping (that’s coming up later today!).
I didn’t stop going until 10 PM, which is right when the Husband got home from soccer (he plays on a local league). Unfortunately, another player ran his cleated foot into the Husband’s knee, and his knee was all busted up. Time for some intense icing, to say the least!
And on another note, look what our weather forecast is today. No frantic chores for me today – I NEED to be outside, enjoying this spurt of warm happiness.
iPhone Lately
Just for fun, here’s what’s filling up my iPhone camera:
Reading at the library with our friends Heather and Mirabelle.
Snow day.
J & M in a sunny spot.
James enjoying a warmer day.
Henry trying to figure out how Kristien balances a soccer ball on the front of his foot. He has a little soccer goal and tries to do fancy footwork like his Dad – it’s adorable.
Henry has also figured out that he can specifically request we call certain people. This has happened in the last four days or so. So far, he has requested to call Mirabelle (who he calls Nema – so cute), our friend Isaac (he’s obsessed with Isaac), and his Nana.
Juicing mess. Enough said!
And last, but not least, I got dressed up on Valentine’s Day. I wore a dress and heels and everything. It lasted approximately three hours. Hah. But I wore this sweet cardigan – it used to just be plain black, but BFF Nicole has gotten really into bedazzling, and she bedazzled a sunburst onto it. Crafty, huh?
DANG woman!! You did WORK! I love those kinds of days–like all of the procrastination just builds and builds and then has to be dealt with. You then end the day tired (but I’ve always found that you aren’t exhausted) and soooo content and happy. Just a huge load off. Being productive is just the best feeling.
And I love your outfit! I am a big fan of belted cardie’s.
Have a great day!
