It’s absolutely POURING outside, so we’re cooped up indoors (and kind of loving it). Lots of Christmas preparations going on!
I have wrapped most of our presents, addressed all of our Christmas cards, and eaten far too many of these babies.
I spy a blurry Maggie photo bomb.
I’ll admit – I cried a little bit when I wrote, “To: Henry – Love: Dad and Mom†on H’s gifts. Emooootions.
I also hung up the holidays cards that we’ve received so far… I used to just stick them on a mirror in my living room but wanted a slightly nicer way to display them. Up in the attic, I found a Christmas cookie tin in our holiday box and felt a little inspired.
Here’s all you’ll need:
Top of a cookie tin
Clear tape
Nail
Long piece of string (5 feet or so)
I taped a string to the back and let it hang down to the floor. Then I hung the tin off a tiny nail. As we receive more cards, we’ll tape them to the string!
Easy, right? And FREE.
If all of that wasn’t enough to get me into the holiday spirit, we have a Christmas party to attend tonight. You know that I’m digging out the old Ugly Christmas Sweater. I’ve got to wear it at least once every year, and this is our only party!
Now, if I can just convince Kristien to pull his on….
Hope your Saturday is MERRY too.
We always hang our cards too! It’s such a great way to actually see the cards and enjoy them
