Rearranged

in All Posts

Well, the tree is up!  And that necessitated a room rearrangement.  The Husband actually did this – rearranging furniture is one of his favorite things to do.  Seriously.

Please note the Maggie-Pippa dynamic in the above photograph.

The couch used to be on the opposite side, and the patterned chairs used to be facing the couch (per this DIY Wall Art post).  Please note that James is in the same position in both photographs.

By arranging the room this way, he essentially made it five feet wider – it’s really nice to sit in the patterned chairs and look at the tree and fireplace now (we moved the DIY art over the chairs).  The room seems both larger and cozier, although that could just be a nice side effect of having a gor-ge-ous Christmas tree and roaring fireplace.

Yum.  Fingers.

And dinner:

I made a huge batch of sweet potato casserole.  Expect to see lots of this over the next few days.

Time to wrap a few gifts!

We had planned to decorate on Saturday and yet…still haven’t done a thing! Whoops. Getting into the holiday spirit late this year, I guess.

We just got all our furniture delivered today (we just moved) and arranging everything is so much fun for me. My husband thinks I’m crazy.

Beautiful! Good for you that husband likes to rearrange furniture! Looks great! I really think our sons looks alike kinda! Maybe because Zach enjoys his fingers as well…ha! Are you going to to a “favorite things” holiday edition?! You usually do and I usually pass it along as things I want!

That sweet potato recipe looks great, but do you use the full amount of sugar that it calls for? Seems like a lot. I have some sweet potatoes in my fridge that could be destined for this recipe…

Naw I cut it way down. Just a tablespoon or two!

Cool! I’m glad you confirmed my instinct. =)

The tree ended up looking so pretty.

My dogs were always parked under the Christmas tree for the entire month of December. The couches were never freer!

The room looks lovely. A question for you about Henry and your rug… Our son Calvin is 4.5 months and we are mentally preparing for crawling. We have hardwoods that are in desperate need of refinishing. We don’t have the cash to tackle the job right this minute so we are considering a rug. The wool rug in his room sheds and we are reluctant to expose him to the chemicals in synthetic fibers. Is your rug wool?

    Thanks!

I’m like Kristein, I LOVE re-arranging my furniture! After reading your post, now I want to re-arrange my furniture! HA!

LOL at the “Maggie-Pippa dynamic”. Something I’ve witnessed quite a few times, with my dad’s cat and his (considerably larger than Maggie) dog. There’s nothing quite like cat confidence- I always wish I could pull it off!
