Do you know what happens when you hand fifteen elementary school girls eight stickers each? 120 hearts and happy faces end up all over the Husband.
I think one ended up inside his ear.
Today’s Girls on the Run’s lesson revolved around positive visualization. We discussed how you can choose to be positive instead of negative, and then the girls ran laps. Every lap, they’d exchange a sticker for a lap counter – and Coach Kristien ended up covered. Most of the girls ran TWO MILES today.
Not only was Kristien a winner at GOTR, but he also made lunch:
In the mix:
Steamed greens
Leftover white rice from Chinese food
Pinto beans
Tomatoes (raw + sundried)
Organicville Teriyaki dressing
After GOTR, we rushed to the clinic so the Husband could see patients, and when we arrived, we discovered the entire family was already there (my mother, sister, and father-in-law all work at the clinic, too). My MIL had reception under control, so I talked Sophie into getting frozen yogurt.
Obviously, dessert at 5 PM totally ruined my appetite BUT WAS SO DELICIOUS that I don’t care.
I relieved my MIL from secretary duty and took over until we left at 8:30 PM. Late night so we kept dinner simple.
Just hummus mixed with goat cheese (try it – so good!) and a lovely, light salad.
Can we talk about the fact that ALL the great Fall TV shows are back? So excited. Gluing my butt to the couch starting… now.
caitlin,
this is a random Q, but your fro yo trip made me think of it. what does kristien think about cold foods from a chinese medicine perspective? my acupuncturist is ALWAYS on me about cutting out cold drinks, smoothies, ice cream, etc as they decrease circulation (and are especially “detrimental” if you are trying to conceive). it seems a liiitttle extreme to me, but just thought i would see if he had a different perspective.
