Meet Billy Jean. :) We are dogsitting for our friends for the next three days – I am so excited because I lurve this dog.
She is 6 months old and weighs about 25 pounds. She was rescued from the shelter about two months ago by Kayla and Brandon. Kayla learned that Billie Jean was on death row – she had been at the county shelter for three weeks, and they were going to put her down! :( But Kayla got her in time, and the whole family (two people + 4 dogs) now lives happily ever after.
She is super sweet, SUPER food focused, very quiet, very awkward (long puppy limbs), and loves to cuddle.
James is not pleased.
It’s going to take some getting used to…
So – this afternoon I successfully ran 6.0 miles! No foot pain, and I finished in just under one hour. It helped that my friend Emma ran the last three miles with me!
We had to go into the clinic and I ate an apple and a glob of sunflower buttah.
And dinner was thrown together in minutes, in between dealing with dogs + cooking + packing… But it was good! Whole wheat cheese tortellini, steamed broccoli, and pasta sauce.
And two bowls of cereal with almond milk (while watching The Office). All that running made me hangry!
Off to play with the puppers.
How can I steal Billie Jean from Kayla and Brandon and get away with it? Any ideas? 😉
Aww Billie Jean is SO cute. I want to adopt a dog so bad, but want to wait until I live in an apartment (or a house!) that’s not fully carpeted. I just feel like I’m asking for trouble if I get one now!
