What a day, what a day. I love busy Saturdays.
Post-run, I headed to Emily’s house for a brunch with other bloggers.
Emily and her husband Casey are moving to Washington DC (very sad). One last get together was definitely necessary!
The treats included baked chickpeas and banana bread.
Scones and fruit:
Breakfast Millet:
And BLUEBERRY PIE!
Work it, fruit salad… work it!
My plate was a bit of everything:
And a generous serving of blueberry pie.
Is that not the best Saturday brunch menu you’ve ever seen? Everything was superb! A benefit of being friends with food bloggers! 🙂
I came home, took a nap (my Saturday treat), and then I got to work on book proposal #2. I got a lot done… finally. I have trouble starting large projects, but once I get rolling, it’s good to go. I’m hoping to finish the draft tomorrow.
Mid-writing snack was a banana with Greek yogurt and chia seeds:
And my in-laws, who are staying with us this weekend (they are up a lot as they try to move from Florida to North Carolina, too) were very kind and ordered us Thai food for dinner so no one had to cook and do dishes!
A little of everything:
Post-dinner, we went to the Epicenter to see a movie. I didn’t realize the movie theatre at the Epicenter was a theatre/restaurant/bar… it was quite swanky!
We saw The Other Guys, which was funny but nothing really special.
Left an Operation Beautiful note behind!
And when we got home, I had another plate of Thai food. I’m gearing up for 15 miles tomorrow morning and do not need to go to bed with a grumbling tummy. Gotta fuel up for all those miles!
Wish me luck! 15 miles seems really far.
Good luck! If anyone can run 15 miles (and do it well) it’s you!
