Today has been a day of serendipity.
I’m not even sure where to begin! First of all, we put down a deposit on an AMAZING duplex that is positively perfect. Most importantly, 500 yards from awesome shops and restaurants.
Like this AWESOME market with fine wines, microbrews, and awesome veggie wraps:
And… the place has HARDWOOD FLOORS!
Plus: It has granite countertops, a double door fridge with a freezer on the bottom, two bedrooms, two full renovations bathrooms, a dishwasher, a garbage disposal, a beautiful front patio overlooking an epic lawn, and a backyard!
The duplex is in a gorgeous neighborhood to run around with and walk the dogs around.
ANNNND (there are so many benefits to this place), it’s 1.5 miles from the Husband’s office, which means he can walk to work and I can come visit him at lunch!
We move in on June 28 and we cannot wait! I’ll show more pictures when I move in, I promise. 🙂
The crazy thing about this duplex is the tenant that is moving out has an amazing jewelry business in honor of her sister, who tragically committed suicide after battling bulimia for years. We connected on such a deep level (I told her about Operation Beautiful), and I’m going to feature her on the blog in the next few days – the work she does is AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL. I felt like it was the perfect place and she was the perfect person… so strange. It was serendipity for us to meet!
On to the food…
Breakfast was yet another egg, sprouts, and tomato bagel from Brueggers:
And for lunch, we went to a cute little diner that had excellent eats.
I forgot I ate eggs at breakfast! I ordered the special quiche for lunch, which had olives, tomatoes, and other veggies. There was a ton of cheese on the top that I picked off.
Fresh fruit!
And the most amazing muffin – I could’ve eaten three!
After signing the contract on our place, we made our way to south Charlotte to see…
KATH! Looking like a professional RD!
So strange to finally be in her house after seeing it on her blog for so long!
Matt poured the Husband and I several samples of his homebrew to enjoy while we all caught up:
I tried:
- Irish Red Ale
- Brown Ale Moose Drool
- Pumpkin Ale
- Vanilla Coffee Porter
They were all great, but the Vanilla Coffee Porter was AMAZING. Matt needs to open his own brewery, too!
He also fed me some of his Great Harvest Bread with some Nutzo spread. I had 1.5 of what’s shown and the Hus ate the rest.
Again… an epic snack.
Well… off to hang out with the KERF Family.
I hope you have a wonderful Friday! 🙂
What incredible kismet with the current tenant… Congratulations on finding a place!
