Heaven on EARTH!
If you follow me on Twitter, you might have read that I have a serious obsession with La Croix carbonated water (the plain kind). I love to drink carbonated water when I’m feeling bored at work (better than boredom snacking).
The trouble was that I was polishing off a pack of La Croix in a few days (like, 4 or 5 cans a day. Ridiculous. It’s just water, but its expensive water). When the nice people at Soda Stream offered to send me a Home Soda Maker kit, I jumped at the chance to make my own carbonated water. They sent me the Foundation Jet Starter Kit machine.
The Soda Stream machine is very easy to use and it creates fun, bubbly water in just thirty seconds!
Plus, Soda Stream is environmentally friendly because you don’t throw away bottles or cans. And each machine comes with an extra "soda" bottle for storage in the fridge. When you need a CO2 refill, you simply return the canister to Soda Stream and they send you a filled one (for $20). Super environmentally friendly!
The machines are expensive to start with ($100), but if you drink a lot of bubbly water, you could easily earn this back in a few months. Plus, you can make your own carbonated fruit juice! I’m excited to try some at-home juice mixes, like bubbly orange juice, cranberry juice, or even POM Wonderful juice!
Soda Stream does sell coke mixes and sent me a few to try:
I might try them but I doubt I would actually purchase these myself — too much artificial stuff in them. But it would be a fun thing at a party!
Thanks Soda Stream! My La Croix obsession is officially over.
This morning, I snacked on watermelon:
And crackers:
And lunch was a stuffed baked green pepper. Mmmm!
Inside my stuffed baked green pepper was a mix of:
- Brown rice
- Baked tofu
- Spinach
- Onion
- Cheese!
I prepared the tofu and rice as I normally would, and then I mixed it with the veggies and cheese, stuffed in the pepper, and baked it all again for 20 minutes. Delicious. And fun!

Every morning, the Husband gets ready for school/work and then sits on the couch for breakfast. Maggie always jams herself up next to him and wiggles to be as CLOSE AS POSSIBLE:
I like how she has one paw on him. It’s like she’s saying, "PLEASE DON’T LEAVE ME!"

Have a great day!
My doggie does that too, but curls himself in a tight little ball and buries his nose in the side of my bathrobe π
