Today was been a whirlwind!
After lunch, I went to my doctor’s appointment (just a check up). I had to fill out paperwork and guess what I got to list for my employment?
Booyah!
I snacked on a bar as I was kept waiting for more than 1 hour to see the doctor (grr).
After my check-up, I drove to Track Shack to pick up my race packet for tomorrow’s 15K.
On the way home, I realized that I was actually driving on the race road that I would be racing on tomorrow morning! Pretty cool. :) One of my favorite things about this race is that it’s pretty close to my house.
I conference called with Zesty about some technical issues for Operation Beautiful, and ate 1/2 a pita with Barney Butter:
And then it was time to head over to one of my aunt’s houses to see my grandpa again — twice in one week, how lucky am I?
My grandpa lives with one of my aunts, but he’s being "grandpa-sat" by the family members as my aunt travels out of town for the week. This past weekend, we drove about 1 hour to see him, but this time, he was in Orlando! Good excuse to get together with family. 🙂
My auntie has the BEST DOG ever. And her name is Maggie, just like mine! They kind of even look alike, except her Maggie is about 8 times the size of mine.
My aunt and uncle served up Stacy’s pita chips and hummus for appetizers:
And dinner was stuffed shells, salad, and bread. I had twice slices of bread (carb loading!):
And we got Fro-Yo for dessert. My was actually Tart Pineapple topped with blackberries and rainbow sprinkles.
(In addition to Maggie, my aunt and uncle have five cats! They are animal lovers.)
Time to prep for the race! Wish me luck — 1:21 is my goal!
Good luck!! I am sure you are going to rock it!!
Sleep well!!
