Good morning! I started my day off right — with a yummy breakfast and blog reading:
Oikos Greek yogurt, banana, flax, and granola:
Nom, nom, nom. Sorry for the poor lighting — it was EARLY!
A few weeks ago, I won tickets to a Taste of the Nation through Foodbuzz.
Taste of the Nation is an event of Share Our Strength, a national organization working to make sure no kid in America grows up hungry. Share Our Strength weaves together a net of community groups, activists and food programs to catch children at risk of hunger, and surround them with nutritious food where they live, learn, and play.
- Since 1988, Taste of the Nation events have raised more than $70 million.
- Since 2004, Taste of the Nation funds have helped Increase access to public and private programs that provide healthy food to those in need.
- 100% of ticket sales help ensure no kid in America grows up hungry.
Besides being a needed and worthwhile cause, Taste of the Nation is a fun and enjoyable event where attendees can taste and sample food and drink from over 30 properties in one evening for a single ticket admission. It really is the best dining out event of the year!
There will be more than 45 Taste of the Nation events hosted in 2009, so check out Share Our Strength to see if one is happening in your town!
Can’t wait for Saturday night!
I start every morning off with blog reading!! My google reader is empty when I go to sleep and then I have like 20 new posts to read when I get up in the morning. All those midnight bloggers, I suppose!! lol
Congrats on winning the tickets!! Looks like fun and it supports a great cause!
