My mom suggested we go to yoga class today, and I positivity jumped at the chance!
The Glowing Body is a yoga studio/cafe. I loved the unique look and feel of the studio.
We took a 60-minute class called Heart-Centered Yoga. Here is the class description:
This class follows the teachings of Anusara Yoga. The Universal Principles of Alignment, heart-centered language, and life-affirming philosophy are combined to open the body, mind and soul. Emphasis is placed on building strength, flexibility and balance. Classes may include Pranayama and/or Meditation. It is open to everyone, regardless of experience.
It was a very good class! Not as active as my Power Yoga classes in Orlando, but a lot more calming (and ya’ll know I can use some calming in my life).
After yoga, we stopped by this cute little bakery called Magpie’s (the slogan is All butter… All the time!):
I snagged this free mini cupcake:
After class + cupcake, we drove to Market Square in downtown Knoxville. It’s a really cute walking mall with tons of funky shops and live music during the weekends.
We stopped at the Tomato Head for lunch:
I ordered the Hummus Pita, which had hummus, cucumber, carrot, tomato, and sprouts. Plus a side salad:
Honestly, I wasn’t impressed. I’ve eaten at the Tomato Head before and had much nicer dishes. This was kind of "ehh." I could’ve made it at home for like $5 less. 🙂
On the way home, we saw a hit and run and I got to call 911. Always exciting. I think this is the third time I’ve gotten to call 911 on the blog? What’s with me and accidents and fires?
I’m going to go relax and get ready for an evening run. I love vacays.
That yoga place sounds neat! Glad you enjoyed it!
