What a whirlwind experience!
I can’t believe I was on TV this morning. It was a surreal experience, but I was excited to share the Operation Beautiful message.
I woke up around 5 AM to get some work done before we had to leave for the TV studio. I ate a stabilizing breakfast of Oikos Greek yogurt, a crushed Kashi TLC bar, blueberries, and a banana.
And then the Husband and I drove to the studio! I was shaking like a leaf when we walked up.
We checked in and got our visitors’ passes, and then one of the producers asked us to wait in the greenroom (where I did a lot of nervous pacing!).
When we were in the greenroom, they had a TV with the news being shown and got to see a "preview" of the Operation Beautiful segment! It was so exciting to see it on TV, and suddenly my nerves just disappeared.
We were escorted into the studio, which was a lot smaller than I imagined. You’d think there would be 20 people running around, but it was just the four anchors and three cameramen. It was neat to see the news anchors in person and watch the weatherman talk in front of the giant green screen!
And…. then it was my turn! Jackie Sosa interviewed me on the couch. It felt so weird to be talking to the anchorwoman in real life. PLUS – I had three giant TV cameras pointed at me! The interview was a blur — I can’t even remember what I said!
After that live interview, we taped a segment for the web broadcast, which lasted about 5 minutes. We talked about Fat Talk, how many notes I’ve received, and where I’ve gotten notes from!
Both interviews are available in the video below:
Check out Operation Beautiful for today’s notes, and if you want to participate, post a note, take a picture, and send it to me at seebriderun@gmail.com!
Have a beautiful day!
Caitlin, that is awesome! You did great 🙂 What a great way to spread the message!
