I like how the Husband and I are starting a new tradition. On Sundays, we go to the downtown farmers’ market, buy a bunch of yummy food, and then come home to make a local lunch.
Before getting our veggies and fruits, we browsed the art vendors for a while…
And I bought this fun orange hat! I’m going to wear it to Miami Hurricanes tailgates this fall (we are season ticket holders).
The Husband said I looked like I was going to the Kentucky Derby!
Never go to the farmers’ market hungry. I wanted to buy it all!
So many pretty eats!
I grabbed a fresh-squeezed lemonade. They had two options: splenda or sugar, so I asked her to go easy on the sugar.
We spent $17 on produce, $4 on 1/2 lb of pasta, and another $3 on my lemonade. Yay, cheap groceries!
Our local lunch was DIVINE. Most of these stuff is from Orlando, north Florida, or Georgia.
I made an amazing grilled portabella mushrooms sammie with onions, green peppers, and green peppers. It was on this chewy and buttery organic garlic bread.
Plus, sweet potato hashbrowns and broc:
We are currently watching the end of the Tour de France. The yellow jersey is decided, but we’re hoping Mark Cavendish pulls off a great finish! I’m sad the Tour is over. I love watching it. There’s always next summer, I suppose!
I made sweet potato hashbrowns just this morning too! Love them 🙂 The farmer's market over there looks amazing too!
