Crossing your fingers that you’ll get one of the 125 tickets to the Healthy Living Summit?  Well, my blog friends, look no further, because I’ve got one Golden Ticket right here!

Cue: Oompa Loompas. 

 

Here are the details:

 

  • What:  One free Golden Ticket to the Healthy Living Summit. 
  • Details:  This ticket covers your entrance to the Friday night ice-breaker party at a swanky Boston bar, entrance to the Summit itself on Saturday, breakfast + lunch of Saturday, and an amazing swag bag filled with healthy products for you to try! 
  • When: The Healthy Living Summit is on August 14 – 15.
  • Where:  Boston, MA
  • Why:  We wanted to give our 6 free tickets as a THANK YOU to our readers and follow bloggers.
  • Exceptions:  This Golden Ticket does not include transportation or hotel costs, which must be paid by the winner.  It’s just a spot at the Summit.
  • Obvious Statement:  Please do not enter the contest if you are unable to come to Boston on August 14 – 15.  The Summit is expected to SELL OUT, so if you cannot make it, leave the Golden Ticket to someone who can.

Here’s how the giveaway will work:  If you intend to come to the Summit if you win a ticket, leave a comment below telling me what is your favorite part of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (if you’ve never seen it, just say "the chocolate waterfall" LOL).

    The Three Course Dinner Gum! I would love to not have to think about what I am going to make for dinner once and while and just pop in a stick of gum.

    i love the theme of this post! charlie and the chocolate factory was one of my favorite movies as a kid (and i like the johnny depp version too even though it was weird)…

    while i originally was going to comment that i loved the veruca salt parts, i think the glass elevator part at the end was the best 🙂

    I love the psychedelic nature of the whole story…people turning into fruit, chocolate waterfalls and parents as villains. There is something really wicked, slightly evil and scary that is woven into this story written for children.

    OH MY GOD PICK ME!!!!! I watched this movie EVERYDAY of my childhood, along with Pippy Longstocking, but my fac. part is definitley when Violent turns Violet and then into a Blueberry! I hope I win I live just outside of Boston!

    I just recently found all your food blogs and have learned so much, and would love to come to the summit. Thankfully, I live near Boston.

    Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is one of my girls' favorites, and it was one of mine too. For me, I love watching my girls in awe as they are floating in the room and then giggle uncontrollably as they have to belch to get themselves down.

    I tried to leave this comment on my blackberry "Pick me! 🙂 my favorite part is the happy ending when Charlie gets to ride through the glass elevator all over the town! His smile is so big you can't help but smile at such a happy ending!" but its not working!     Caitlin has talent!

    Since reading Healthy Tipping Point, I have never stopped. It has inspired me to eat healthy and excercise. She is real and therefore everything seems so doable.

    Normally, I feel completely intimidated or the exercise routine seems none maintainable for a working father/husband. Caitlin has showed me that instead of watching TV in my spare time….exercise…or exercise while watching TV. Just be active.

    I think my favorite part of the movie is watching Verucca Salt go down the garbage shoot as a bad egg!!!

    My hands down absolute favorite part is when Willy Wonka/Gene Wilder sings "Pure Imagination." It's the song that makes me smile BIG.

    Honestly, I really like it when Charlie wins the ticket in the first place because he deserved something good to happen!! But as for once they're in the factory, I like the part where they drink the fizzy lifting drinks and have to burp to stop floating around!

    In the original, the boat ride always seriously scared me when I was little. Even though it's scary, I think it's my favorite part. I love the part in the new one where Johnny Depp first comes out of the factory and the singing dolls catch on fire. That is hilarious.

    That movie makes me want chocolate like its my job!!! I love the oompa loompas!!

    I am SO SO excited for the summit! With all that is going on this summer with me and the wedding (I get married like 3 weeks after the summit) I was SO hoping it would be on a weekend I could go (and that it was in Boston)…seriously it’s like sheer luck that it #1 is in Boston and #2 is on a weekend I can go!!!     Although this isn't a specific part per se, I always enjoyed the fact that both sets of Charlie's grandparents lived/slept in the same bed. Can you imagine your grandparents doing the same? I absolutely cannot, and as I child, I always found this entertaining. In fact, I still do!

    Oh my word. I live in Boston and follow ALL of you ladies via your blogs so imagine my excitement when I found out the location of the SUMMIT! To be able to attend would be the greatest thing to happen to me — to date!!!

    Now, on to more pressing matters! Chocolate I mean Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! One of the best movies ever made! There are so many favs for me in this movie… however, if I had to pick a favorite part it would have to be: Oompa-Loompas! They will forever make me smile and it is totally awesome that in the movie Willy Wonka pays them in cacao beans =)

    I'm so excited for the Healthy Living Summit and I really really want to go!! It's hard to pick a favorite from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory- I love that movie!

    I love the part when they give Charlie the Chocolate bar even though they are so poor that they can't afford it- that is some serious unselfishness. I also have to say I love the part where Charlie gets upset because he thinks he doesn't win and then he finds out that he wins because of his honesty! Such great morals in this movie 😀

    I love Willy Wonka and the Chocolate factory (well, the old one that is- the new one freaks me out). My favorite part is when Veruca says, "I want an oompa loompa now, daddy." When my little sister was 4, she did a spot on, hilarious impression.

    Best movie!! Favorite part probably when they first walk into the edible wonderland and kids and parents start messily eating all the yummy looking grass, trees, mushrooms, etc. Such a fantasy of mine as a kid.

    Fun movie!

    My fave scene was when Charlie and his grandpa were floating from all the soda pop they drank and realized they just had to belch and burp a lot to keep from going through that crazy chopping device… my faaavorite because my weirdo talent is that I can belch on command… and say things. Yeah, I can burp talk. I am REALLY classy.

    I'm not super keen on the movie, the Ooompah Loompahs were creepy looking and Willy Wonka was too dark. Loved the book though! My favorite part about the book is that it was my Daddy-daughter time, Dad would read a chapter every night before bed (cue mush). Of the story, I love Grandpa. He's so young at heart.

    my favorite thing about willy wonka (the original!) is that it didn't try to be overtly creepy, which tim burton was guilty of in the newer version. the original is just naturally creepy/disturbing.
    favorite part: "i want an oompa loompa. and i want an oompa loompa nowww."

    LOL I love the Willy Wonka theme. My favorite part is hands-down the whole scene where all the golden ticket winners are frolicking through the huge candy room and eating lollipops off trees and such… Hopefully that'll be me rooting through my swag at the summit in August! 😀

    "I want a feast…a bean feast!" I love Veruca Salt's flipout. I also love the band Veruca Salt, but that's a different thing altogether. I want to go to the Summit so I can thank you ladies in person for the positive impact and daily inspiration you've brought to my life.     My favorite moment is when they lick the wallpaper because when I was little I used to try that, although it sure didn't taste like candy!

    I am in Argentina right now and will be coming back to Boston that weekend after 6 months abroad. My sister and I are planning a weekend together there and would LOVE to attend the summit together!

    I wasn't allowed to watch Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when I was a kid… (My mother chose odd things to be strict about…) but, don't worry! It's definitely one of my favorites now! My favorite scene is probably when Charlie gives the golden ticket to his grandpa and they start dancing around the room!

    Honestly, besides the idea of having lickable wallpaper (my parents spent months convincing me it didn't exist), my strongest memory of Willy Wonka was the fact that the Charlie and his grandfather (the only two not completely overcome with greed) won the big prize in the end. It taught me as a child that kindness and patience mean a lot more than having money.

    I'd love to come to the summit. I am so excited that it is actually at a time and place that I can get to as I live all the way in Los Angeles.     Willy Wonka and the Charlie Factory is one of my FAVORITE movies of all time! I love that you went with that theme 🙂

    If I had to choose one scene, I'd say it is when they walk into the edible room with the chocolate waterfall, edible grass, jelly bean trees, etc. It's been a dream since I was little to walk into a room like that 🙂

    I loved the new video that depicked the history of your races. WOW it was moving and motivating. I just started "The first of May I started to fast walk a mile every day before work.
