I felt like a Disney Princess today!
Disney lets you into the park for FREE on your birthday, plus you get a fun pin that says "It’s My Birthday!" and all the cast members wish you a happy birthday. :) We got hooked up with fast entrances to all the rides as well, and we were in and out in less than 6 hours!
Plus, I got to spend the day with my Prince Charming (I’m allowed to be corny on my birthday!):
We walked down Main Street and hit up Liberty Square, Tomorrow Land, Adventure Land, and more.
My Favorite Ride:
I love Big Thunder Mountain Railroad! So twisty and turny. In line, I snacked on this amazing date (times two) and a bunch of raw cashews:
We went on all the "big kid" rides like Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Haunted Mansion, etc.
And a few "little kid" rides, too. 🙂 There was also much skipping in the streets and dancing to "Skippy Do Da." Seriously.
We stopped for lunch at this lovely place:
The Liberty Tree Tavern offers "American" food sit-down style, which was nice. I ordered the Colony Salad, which included Washington apples, sweet pecans, applewood cheddar cheese, and grilled chicken with mixed greens.
I had the honey-shallot vinaigrette on the side and dipped my fork in. I ate about 1/2 of the salad (it was huge!).
The waiter was kind enough to ask me if I wanted to be publicly embarrassed by group singing, and I said NO… so he just brought out this cupcake.
I only had a bite because I was saving myself for this:
Mmm! A low-fat chocolate and vanilla swirl in a cone. It came with two scoops but I immediately tossed the top scoop. Too much ice cream gives me a tummy ache. 🙂
Other fun Disney activities include…. playing the Buzz Lightyear game.
And beating the Husband. 🙂
And… spotting my favorite character!!
Minnie Mouse! I love Minnie. So much!
Honestly, it was a great day to spend my birthday. I feel really blessed this year. I have a wonderful husband, good friends, and a decent job, and I’m healthy and happy. Life is full of ups and downs, and this happens to be an "up" year, so I’m going to cherish and embrace is as much as I can!
Here’s to being a little kid on the inside FOREVER!
Wow! Looks like an amazing birthday! Way to live life to the fullest!
