Since I’m weighing the idea of a metric century bike race in June, I figured I should probably go for a ride tonight! 🙂
I think my bike was happy to get off the porch and onto the road, too! 🙂
Running Hiatus Workout #10
I did a 10.5 miles. There are no trails near my house, so I’m forced to ride on the sidewalk/bike lanes of a few major roads. I try to be conscientious about cars and stop at all intersections, wait until I have "wave" confirmation that the driver sees me, and walk my bike across really busy intersections. It’s not the ideal situation, but it works!
- Duration: 52 minutes
- Distance: 10.5 miles
I came home and did the following strength training exercises:
- 20 push-ups
- 60 bicycle crunches
- 30 planked leg-lift crunches
- 20 reverse crunches
- 50 leg lifts, each side and weighed with a 3 lb weight
- 20 inner leg lifts, each side and weighted with a 3 lb weight
Great workout!
Pizza and Beer – The Healthy Way!
I didn’t feel like putting too much effort into dinner tonight, but luckily I had a healthy frozen pizza to rely on!
This is the second Amy’s Kitchen product I’ve tried recently, and I must say that it was really, really good!
The crust was light and crunchy. So flavorful! Even the Husband devoured his portion. My serving had 250 calories, and it’s all organic, which was nice! I had broc on the side.
Plus…. I had to try the beer that Meghann gave me for my birthday!
This Honey Moon is a honey weiss beer from the makers of Blue Moon, which is one of my all-time favorite brews!
I had a tiny glass and gave the rest to the Husband.
Afternoon Eats
Oh, and my second mid-afternoon snack was a crushed Kashi TLC bar and Chobani yogurt. I just couldn’t stay away!
If you drink beer, what’s your favorite beer? My favorites include Killian’s Irish Red, Singha, Yuengling, and Blue Moon, of course!
Amy’s makes some good pizzas!
