Morning! I have had a fabulous morning so far. This is the first Sunday in weeks (months?) that I haven’t gone on a long run — instead, I went on a long bike ride.
Before leaving, I had a quick and easy breakfast.
1/2 cup Grape Nuts and a sliced banana in skim milk — no coffee! I didn’t need it so I decided to go without.
I bike 14.2 miles, following my long-run path and the detouring to hit up a local park called Cypress Grove Park.
It’s easy to tell why it’s called Cypress Grove Park — look at these beautiful trees.
I parked my bike against a tree and decided to take a 10 minute break to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
Taking a breather:
The bike ride home was pretty eventful! Right before I got to my house, I realized my bike pack had fallen off the back of my bicycle — MY CAMERA AND CELL PHONE WAS INSIDE! Ahhh!! I had a total freak-out and immediately turned around and sprinted (on the bike) back along the sidewalk…. luckily, I found everything safe and sound about 2.0 miles from my house. Whew!
Here are my statistics:
- Duration: 1 hour, 35 minutes (14.1 miles + a rest)
- Calories Burned: 500 (estimate)
I came home and did Day 5 of the 30 Day Shred. I’ve finally mastered all the moves, so I listened to my iPod while watching Jillian on the TV. It made the Shred go much faster!
Afterward, I was STARVING and practically dived into the fridge:
I made a Flat Out Wrap with grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, and 1/4 a warmed yellow apple.
Plus the other portion of the apple and a bunch of strawberries.
Plus, a big glass of Riesling. It’s not my fault — I have to drink the entire bottle before it goes off! 🙂
Enjoy your Sunday! I’ll see you later for a BRITNEY concert recap (AHHH) + dinner with Meghann and Jenna.
Lovely bike ride scenery!!
Can’t wait for the recap!! 🙂
