Evening! I had an unusually excellent Monday. Maybe I need to be more social on Mondays? It sure makes the beginning of the week more fun!
Before my meet-up with a reader named Neely, I snacked on the following mid-afternoon snacks. The usual suspect:
Some strawberries and nuts:
And a larger snack around 5:00 PM to tide me over to a late dinner + fuel me for a 1.75 mile walk with Neely! WW toast with pumpkin butter:
Neely was open to my suggestion we do something "low cost," so we met downtown to stroll around the beautiful Lake Eola jogging path. I brought James with me. There were so many dog walkers and joggers out! We even saw a lakeside wedding (on a Monday!?).
We did two laps, or about 1.75 mile. I’m counting this as cardio!
And on the second lap, we stopped off at this super cute lakeside cafe that serves basic bar food, drinks, and ice cream!
James was allowed on the patio and even got his own water bowl. 🙂
I got a Red Stripe.
This is Neely — she’s really fun and I hope we hang out again soon. Ironically, her boyfriend raced in the same triathlon as Meghann last weekend! Winking for the blog:
I think James liked being out on the town without Maggie (she’s too crazy to be out in crowded public places). I know I always talk about my beautiful Maggie, but I really love James, too. He’s my little man.
I came home and made a light dinner:
WW spaghetti with faux meat Meal Starter. And a side salad.
Check out the Husband’s portion vs. mine:
Men are ridiculous! 🙂
Good night!
HAHA!! Love the photos of the pasta comparisons 😀
