My college was a bit of a "party school," and both the Hus and I used to love to go to the bars and clubs with our friends every single weekend (which for us was Wednesday through Saturday…. seriously).
Now, it’s fun to go and "relive" the good old days! Except now I try to be a little more responsible with my alcohol consumption. The trouble is that my inhibitions decrease with every drink, so its kind of like attempting to stop a runaway train from careening down a hill! π
Last night, I consciously chose to alternate alcoholic drinks with plain old ginger ale. I refused a round or two or shots (but I got roped into 1). And I kept remaining myself I had to do an 11 miler in the morning. As a result, I had a great time, stayed out until 2:00 AM, and woke up at noon ready to RUN!
Here are some photographic highlights of our evening out…. Me and the Husband.
Our friends being silly….
The brother-in-law purchased us a round of shots (thanks!).
A 2:00 AM pizza run…
For the record, I drank 4 drinks over 5 hours and ate several pieces of free chocolate at the bar and two garlic knots (but miraculously, no pizza!).
Then…. WE SLEPT UNTIL 11:30! Now I really feel like a college student again!
I woke up and made a very easy breakfast.
I reheated a WW waffle I had made and frozen earlier in the week and topped it with almonds and syrup.
And a bowl of fruit….
Plus a coffee! π
OK – I’m going to pull my life together and go on my long run NOW!
Are you/were you more of a homebody or a party girl? I was a total party girl…. and I’m totally a homebody now!
Sounds like so much fun! I was definitely a party girl, and now it’s hard for me to drink and not feel like I’m going to die the next day! π Glad you’re feeling good and going for a run. That’s awesome!
have a great day!
