The 3 B’s

in All Posts

First things first… we stayed up last night until 1 AM, so I needed a little snack around midnight.  I had a bowl of fruit.

Today’s breakfast was brought to you by the letter B!

That’s blueberry, banana, and blackberry oatmeal!

It was an absolutely heavenly combination, and the natural sugars of the fruit meant it needed no brown sugar or granola.  Yum!

Last night I put together a half marathon training schedule that is very ambitious.  I’m going to go on a run now and see how I can handle it.  Based on today’s run, I may or may not alter the schedule.  Either way, I’ll post it tomorrow!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Is Sunday your rest day? I tend to make it my long-run day.

    Awesome oatmeal!

Sunday is usually my long-run day too. It always seems like a really productive end to my week (or a way to gear up for the coming week, depending on which day ends the week).

    Yummy I love blackberries 🙂

Sundays tend to switch up for me depending on my week’s schedule and how I feel. I’m kind of in the mood to get moving this morning, so I’m hitting the gym for a quick session. We’ll see though…Good luck on your run! 🙂

YUUUUM! I heart oatmeal. period. 🙂

I usually always workout on Saturdays and Sundays for sure because I am pretty busy during the week with school and work…so I try to get in a good amount of exercise over the weekends.

Hey! I think ham would work great with that sandwich I made last night, you should try it, so tasty!! (Although if/ when I make it again, I may just toast the bread instead of pressing the sandwich).

And I won’t be doing the seasons 5.2k next weekend. But I’m sure I’ll be seeing you for Meghann’s birthday!! 🙂

What a lovely midnight snack 🙂
Can’t wait to see your new schedule! I didn’t mention it on your last post but how exciting that you have new running shoes…I hope you write about any differences you feel.
    Hope it’s a nice day!

That oatmeal looks great especially with those gorgeous berries!

Saturday is usually my long run day so I tend to take Sunday as a rest day.

  • inmytummy January 18, 2009, 11:29 am

Sundays are usually my just-in-case long run day. I normally intend to do it on Saturdays but a lot of times, like yesterday, don’t get around to it. I also tend to do errands and grocery shop on Sundays.

    beautiful oatmeal!

  • emily January 18, 2009, 12:07 pm

    Your oatmeal looks delicious 🙂

I use weekends to exercise for longer, as I have the time. I usually rest on a Thursday.

    Have a good day!

    That oatmeal looks delicious.
Weekends are always my most productive days so no Sunday is not a rest day for me at all, I’d rather pick a night to come home from work and relax, then waste a whole day.

  • Marissa January 18, 2009, 12:32 pm

I love blackberries! Hope your run goes good!!

  • Heather McD (Heather Eats Almond Butter) January 18, 2009, 12:38 pm

I do usually rest on Sundays, but may walk or hike if I feel like it. Today I did 90 minutes of Power Yoga. Great way to begin the day!

Looking forward to following your half marathon training.

    The 3B’s? Beautiful!

  • Amanda January 18, 2009, 12:43 pm

    Hope your run went well!!

I usually always try to work out both Sat and Sun because my weeknight workouts are a bit shorter or nonexistant. I always take off Friday – and probably drink too much so the weekend makes up for it 🙂

those berries look really good – I can’t wait to get fresh raspberries from the markets here.
