Oatmeal, how I missed you!!!
I took about thirty pictures of this one bowl! I think I was so enamored by my oatmeal that I couldn’t stop staring at it (until I realized it was time to actually EAT it).
My crazy delicious oatmeal featured a STAR ingredient that we picked up on our tour of Napa Valley:
Peju Vineyard’s famous Chardonnay Caramel Sauce…. to die for! I think this is meant to be drizzled over crepes or ice cream, but when I saw it I immediately thought, "OATMEAL!"
My oatmeal contained:
- 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1/2 cup water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 sliced banana
- Toppings: Grape Nuts, blackberries, and Chardonnay Caramel Sauce
Off to work — it’s my first day back. Ugh! I like my job, but trust me — I like honeymooning MORE!
Later I’ll go on a nice, long run. I’m beginning to train for my upcoming half marathon — I’ll post the training schedule Sunday or Monday!
Did you know that 46% of runners say their brains give out before their bodies? I agree — I usually break down in my head first. What’s been your experience?
