Evening!
I braved the dark and the cold for a nice, long 6.0 mile run. It was glorious, although it was a little chilly! I set off on my run being very negative about the darkness. All I could think was "BLAHHH it’s so dark. And so cold." I decided to be more positive about things and focused on thoughts like:
- Hey, it’s not 95 degrees and in the middle of humid August.
- I can wear my sports bra again because its not all smelly!
- People must think I’m really hardcore because I’m running in the cold and dark.
Also, it was WAY easier to pretend I was in a music video because I could make funny faces and mouth the words to my iPod without anyone seeing me!
What, you don’t do that? 🙂
Here are my statistics:
- Duration: 1 hr, 1 minute (6.0 miles)
- Average Heart Rate: 165
- Maximum Heart Rate: 188
- Calories Burned: 533
Dinner was quick and easy.
I had leftover chicken crock pot soup and a grilled cheese with alfalfa sammie.
Alfalfa sprouts are a really great addition to grilled cheese! So delish!
I’m kind of hungry still…. I think I may have a glass of milk before bed. 🙂
Pre-Run Snack
Before my run, I had a pear + PB. Interesting combo, but delicious!
Going to go watch Ricky Gervais stand up comedy special on HBO! Have a fun night!
Do you sing out loud, mouth the words, or just listen to your iPod when exercising?
Now I have that song in my head! 🙂
