Good morning! Last night was a little TOO much fun, if you know what I mean! 😉
We played a few college-style drinking games before we left. I lost and, as a result, had to "glue" my chin on the coffee table for 10 minutes!! It was pretty amusing, actually.
Then we headed to downtown Orlando and bar hopped between my favorite swanky lounge and an amazing rooftop bar. It was quite a fun evening. I didn’t take pictures of all my cocktails… but there were many, many drinks consumed. I did catch a picture of one of my gin and tonics, the best old lady drink EVER!
We had a blast celebrating the birthdays!
And…. by 2:00 AM, Meghann and I were just standing at the bar blurting out "PIZZA PIZZA!" whenever anyone spoke to us. Literally, we DRAGGED the boys to the pizza place.
My eyes were definitely bigger than my stomach because I ordered TWO slices of pepperoni. I only ate one and tossed the garlic knots.
I haven’t eaten "real" pizza in SO LONG and this did NOT disappoint. And seriously…. once you drink 2,000,000 calories in alcohol, a slice of greasy pizza probably doesn’t make a difference — actually, this slice of pie probably prevented me from feeling TERRIBLE this morning. So, it was worth it!
I woke up around 9 AM and lounged with Meghann on the blow-up air mattress for an hour or so. I drank and a coffee and ate my pre-run snack. I had a piece of WW toast with PB and I took my glucosamine and calcium supplements.
After slamming approximately 20 glasses of water, Meghann and I ran a 5.25 mile loop. Exercising is truly the best hangover cure! Sometimes it’s hard to get started, but once it’s over, I always feel SO much better about life.
Here’s my statistics:
- Duration: 54 minutes (5.25 miles)
- Average Heart Rate: 160 bpm
- Maximum Heart Rate: 191 bpm
- Calories Burned: 430
I’m pleased to report that my knees and my leg didn’t bother me until the very end of the run. We walked the last 1/4 mile.
After showering, I made a HUGE double batch of Hodgson’s Mill InstaBake Mix pancakes for everyone. I was STARVING by the time I sat down to eat.
I had 5 golden pancakes that were light and fluffy. Delish!
Some REAL maple syrup for dipping…
And a banana for a little potassium. 🙂
Time to clean the house! It’s a little messy from last night’s debauchery.
Have a WONDERFUL DAY!
sounds so fun!! I’m jeaous you have a blogger bud so close 🙂 Have a great Sunday, sounds perfect already 🙂
