Good morning! I was in a peaceful slumber when I suddenly felt a fat dachshund butt sit on my face. I don’t even know why Maggie bothers waking me up, because 5 minutes after I get out of bed, she goes back to sleep on her pillow:
Just like a little sausage roll, hmm?
Onto breakfast…. after last night’s intense pumpkin-carving session, I knew I had to integrate pumpkin seeds into this morning’s bowl of oatmeal.
My oatmeal contained:
- 1/2 cup of oats
- 1/2 cup of water
- 1/2 cup of milk
- 1 sliced banana
- Toppings: sprinkle cinnamon, brown sugar, and "sweet" pumpkin seeds (for recipe, see below)
The pumpkin seeds gave my oatmeal a great CHEW! Oh, how I love autumn.
Of course, I had a cup of coffee, which Jack helped me drink.

What I Know For Sure
Since you all enjoyed the selection of Oprah’s ‘What I Know For Sure’ motivational thoughts so much, I thought I’d share a few more:
- You define your own life. Don’t let other people write the script.
- Worrying is wasted time. Use the same energy for doing something about whatever worries you.
- What you believe has more power than what you dream or wish or hope for. You become what you believe.
- If you make a choice that goes against what everyone else thinks, the world will not fall apart.
- Love doesn’t hurt. It feels really good.
Have a wonderful morning! See you for lunch!
Aww, Maggie :0)
I LOVE pumpkin seeds (and your recipes)!! Right now, I’m hooked on pumpkin-seed-butter (which contains a whopping 10.5 grams of protein per two tablespoons!! Score!!)
Amen to ALL of those “What I Know For Sure” statements.
TGIF!!!
