I got a little sucked into several episodes of Bridezillas (those girls are seriously ridiculous) and before I knew it…. it was 4:30 and I hadn’t been on a run yet! ECK!
I quickly headed out the door with a serious goal in mind: 4 miles, no walking! It was a nice, achievable goal and gave my run a little purpose. 🙂 Here are my statistics:
- Duration: 41 minutes (4.1 miles)
- Average Heart Rate: 160 bpm
- Maximum Heart Rate: 191 bpm
- Calories Burned: 355
I came home and did 90 bicycle crunches and 30 push-ups.
Dinner – Creamy Tofu Carrot Soup
Using Pacific Natural Foods Creamy Roasted Carrot as a base, I made a delicious Creamy Tofu Carrot Soup that totally fulfilled my craving for something warm and filling.
I roasted a serving of extra firm tofu (not pressed, rubbed in pepper), a serving of polenta, and broc in the oven for 30 minutes at 350. Then, I heated up 1 cup of Creamy Roasted Carrot soup, mixed in the tofu, polenta, and broc, and added 1 tablespoon of goat cheese.
For dessert, I had a chocolate macaroon from Gina. Divine!
Pre-Run Snacks (Yes, Snacks)
I ate 1/2 a banana and a tablespoon of PB, thinking I was about to leave for my run….
And then, the ridiculousness of Bridezillas sucked me in (I’m watching it again and a girl seriously just told her fiance, "I OWN YOU NOW!"). An hour and a half later, I needed another snack! I had 1/2 cup of Uncle Sam’s Original cereal and 1/2 cup yogurt.
I left for my run about 30 minutes after eating the yogurt and cereal, and it DID feel a little heavy in my tummy, but not terrible.
Your Monday Routine?
Do you prefer to work out on Mondays or take the day off? I really need to GET TO THE GYM and blow off some steam by the time my first work day of the week is over. But I can see how other people would like to relax.
****Edited to add: I just became hungry and had a snack — yogurt, granola, and nuts. 🙂 BUT, I cannot find my camera. It’s probably in my couch cushions or fridge.
