I heard a knock on my door around 10:00 am and was pleasantly surprised to receive a box FULL of EAS Nutritional Supplement products. Check it out:
Thanks to the awesome people at EAS, I’ve got loads of protein shakes and bars to try out now. The bars seem a little high in calories (more like meal-replacement instead of pre-run or post-run snacks), so I may split them into two servings. Stay tuned for product reviews!
Work is going well this morning. I’m just in such a good mood today! 🙂
Lunch
I did a spin on my Polenta "Arepas" for lunch. Instead of little sandwiches, I made an open faced combination of polenta, roasted tomato slices, cheddar cheese, and turkey bacon.
The combination of turkey bacon and polenta is so delicious. I will definitely use this combination again–it comes across as both sweet and savory on your tongue.
These four polenta stacks total 350 calories (140 for polenta, 120 for cheese, 20 for tomato, and 70 for turkey bacon); plus, there is a nice balance of protein, fats, and carbs…. perfection!
On the side, I enjoyed a spinach salad (with green peas, carrots, and cucumber):
Mid-Morning Snack
My "liquid breakfast" kept me surprisingly full, but I still needed my typical mid-morning snack.
I had 1/4 cup Ezekiel 4:9 cereal, 1/2 cup NF plain yogurt, and some cantaloupe. This combination seemed so summery to me–its a shame the season is over! However, I AM looking forward to the cooler weather–it’s still 90 degrees in Florida!
Well, my lunch break is over, and I can already tell my e-mail box is BLOWING UP! 🙂 Have a wonderful day!
