Again – I love taking a photo every hour. It’s so fun to see what you capture – and what you miss (meals, showers, dog walks…).
7:30: Henry wakes up.
We read books for a while and then…
8:30: Watch cartoons for a bit.
Henry is OBSESSED with Thomas the Train. Obsessed. I think I’ve watched every episode on Netflix. My brain is slowly rotting. Fizzling fireboxes!
9:30: Breakfast.
Kristien is up and we all make breakfast together. My new favorite combo is eggs, spinach, and brown rice. It’s yummy.
10:30: I’m cleaning out my diaper bag.
You guys – I half don’t even want to write about what I found at the bottom of my diaper bag… but I will. I found a fossilized banana peel. How did it not stink!? Hah. So gross. I thought I always let my purse get dirty and cluttered, but a diaper bag with a toddler takes it to a whole. new. level.
11:30: We’re at the gym.
Today is the last day of the Ironman March challenge! I’m done with the run and swim components, but I still have a ways to go with the bike. I’ve probably got three more spin classes to go to finish the 112 miles. So I didn’t complete my own challenge without the allotted time frame (grrr) but I’m still going to finish it by biking into April.
If you participated in Ironman March AND finished the challenge in March and you want to be eligible for one of the prizes, email me a photo of your completed training plan –> caitlinjboyle@gmail.com.
12:30: I eat lunch.
YES. That is a almond butter and cucumber sandwich. I know this combo sounds super strange, but it’s really good! I swear. Try it. 🙂
I also eat leftover Thai curry. This is relevant for later… {{foreshadowing}}
1:30 PM: I’m in a PlateShare board meeting.
PlateShare is a non-profit that raises money for hunger relief organizations with a special focus on groups that provide ‘real food.’ I’m very honored to sit on the board because I just know that PlateShare is going to do incredible things.
2:30: Still in the meeting!
Our founder just won several large grants at start-up events, and we got to vote on which hunger relief organizations would get our donations. I can’t wait to share more about it when it’s official.
3:30: I’m back at home, and I decide to take a nap because Henry is napping, and Kristien is working.
We recently moved our bedroom to the upstairs guest room because we’re so scared that Henry is going to figure out how to climb out of his crib. We have an open landing on the second floor, so we want to be close to him once he starts exiting the crib. It kind of works out because we like sleeping in the upstairs room more than the master! It’s cozier. <3
4:30: I eat a banana.
5:30: We play outside while I drink a tea.
6:30: We’re still playing outside…
7:30: I watch Henry and Kristien do a dance to Michal Jackson’s Thriller.
It’s actually pretty good and well-coordinated. Hah. Wish I could show you the video but one Husband in particular would KILL ME.
8:30 – 10:30: Remember that foreshadowing about the leftover Thai curry? Ugh. FOOD POISIONING!
I was so sick all night. This was super disappointing because we were pumped to watch The Walking Dead finale, but that did not happen. Guess we can watch it tonight! No spoilers, please. :) I hope it was good. This season has been kind of meh but was really picking up.
What did you do on Sunday?
Oh no! I hope you’re feeling better! Last night I saw Jillian Michaels speak. She came to Des Moines on her Maximize Your Life tour, and it was INCREDIBLE!
