We have a whiteboard on our fridge, and we leave each other funny messages. I woke up to this gem:
Hah. So true, right? I need to stop thinking about a lot of things and just start doing them.
Starting with… my workouts. I spend 20 minutes working myself up to leave on a run, 10 minutes getting dressed, 15 minutes washing dishes or tidying up random messes around the house, AND THEN I leave. Ugh. I always end up thinking, “I could’ve been done now if I had just left right away!â€
Top of the hill.
Another thing: I’ve been running in a pair of cheap-o plastic sunglasses, and they are so comfy. They never slip down my face. I got them as a giveaway item at an event, so they aren’t the most stylish or flattering, but they totally work for running. I wouldn’t cycle in them (definitely not shatter-proof) but nice for jogs.
I did 3.0 miles – it’s going to be my shortest run of the week. I usually like to knock off a longer run at the beginning of the week, but I was feeling a little ‘meh’ out there today. I’m proud of myself for getting out there, however. No matter how long it took to leave the house…
And guess what? If you’re in Boston, I’m speaking at Northeastern University tomorrow night at 7:30 PM in the CSC West Addition room. I’d love to see you there!
There’s something about the face you’re making that made me think “She looks like Henry in this one.”
