Hmm… I’d have to say ‘have a baby.’ At 38 I wasn’t sure if I was going to have one. I’m happy to say that I did (he’s now eight months old and the greatest thing ever)! Still have lots more on my “list” though – and visit Italy is at the top of the list.

  • Maryea @ Happy Healthy Mama October 8, 2010, 7:19 am

    I love it!!

I lived in Arizona for seven years, and never visited the Grand Canyon. 🙁 I’m such a clutz and worried that I would be one of the two unfortunately souls who falls to their death each year while admiring the natural splendor.

I don’t have a bucket list, so to speak. Maybe I should create one. I am living my dream right now–being able to stay home and raise my daughter. Some think this is an insignificant dream to have, but for me it is everything.

    • brianna October 8, 2010, 11:17 am

      Not at all insignificant!!!

      • Natalia - a side of simple October 8, 2010, 11:30 am

I agree. Especially with the way today’s world is, I think its one of the most important things 🙂

    • Caitlin October 8, 2010, 12:44 pm

Most important thing is your kids and how YOU want to raise them, in my opinion.

  • Anna @ Newlywed, Newly Veg October 8, 2010, 7:36 am

The Grand Canyon is definitely on my list too! Along with a WHOLE lot of other place– I need to make a travel bucket list!

  • Kelly October 8, 2010, 7:37 am

Fall in love and fall in love soon. My greatest goal in life is to have that person who is your everything so that you can be the best person. I believe that love brings out the best in people. I can’t wait to have that.

Another enduring bucket list item- travel! Italy, Greece, Spain, South Africa, Australia. I want to go!!!

    • Angela @ Eat Spin Run Repeat October 8, 2010, 8:29 am

I totally 100% agree on the first part of this!! It’s one of my biggest goals right now too 🙂

  • holly @ couchpotatoathlete October 8, 2010, 7:38 am

    Dreams:

    1. Have a baby (or two)
    2. Travel to Europe with Jason
    3. Skydiving
    4. Learn to Ski
    5. Find a career that really suits me (I know, it is vague, but I don’t know the answer to this yet!)

  • Casey October 8, 2010, 7:40 am

I want to hike the Appalachian Trail! Not necessarily the entire 2,175 miles of it, but I definitely want to do a good chunk!

    • Caitlin October 8, 2010, 12:47 pm

      Cool goal!

    • Allison October 8, 2010, 1:42 pm

Me too! But probably only because I recently read Bill Bryson’s “A Walk In the Woods” and I thought it was awesome. But, really, that’s so cool!

  • Becca October 8, 2010, 7:41 am

Ooh, do it! I’ve been lucky enough to fly into the canyon in a helicopter twice, and it’s truly spectacular.

I want to establish my business and be a mother by thirty. That leaves me just over 18 months!

  • Katie October 8, 2010, 7:45 am

This week has been really rough I have found out my little Princess I worked with over the summer is having a tough time with her BMT and then my mom’s friend just died in a freak accident involving a Gator flipping at a race while she was hanging out water. Life is never guaranteed. My goal is to finish my marathon, I want to see all 50 states, find great love but my goal is to live life with no regrets. I have a lot right now, but I am ready to take risks and take names because I may not get a tomorrow to try.

  • Chris October 8, 2010, 7:46 am

Compete in the Kona Ironman is at the top of my list quickly followed by hike the AT. The Grand Canyon is on the list but not urgent. I can visit that after I retire.

    • Caitlin October 8, 2010, 12:48 pm

      Kona is tomorrow! So excited.

  • Stacey @ The Habit of Healthy October 8, 2010, 7:46 am

The Grand Canyon is awesome. I don’t have a bucket list but I am trying to work towards having more life experiences and doing things that make me happy.

  • Cyndi @ Weightless Life October 8, 2010, 7:47 am

I really want to write a book. It doesn’t even have to be published. I just want to write it. One of the big things I already achieved is to visit Paris, but I wouldn’t mind going again.

  • Sarah (Running to Slow Things Down) October 8, 2010, 7:48 am

    RUN A HALF MARATHON!!

This is my dream and ambition for my pre-30th birthday. 😀

    • Jaime Runs October 8, 2010, 9:02 am

      Me too except I’m almost 32! 😉

    • Shrinking mommy of 2 October 8, 2010, 12:25 pm

I really want to do this too…but I am way older than both of you! Tomorrow I turn 36…so maybe someday soon. Actually I want to do the princess 1/2 marthon @ disney world! By the way, I just started running this year! Never to old! hehe

      • Caitlin October 8, 2010, 12:49 pm

You are NEVER TOO OLD. Wait until you see how many different people run the half. All ages, sizes, shapes.

A 70 year old whooped me during my marathon.

      • Heather October 8, 2010, 6:03 pm

2 years ago (I was 35), I ran my 1st half-marathon, and my 1st marathon in the same weekend (Goofy’s challenge in Disney). I had a blast! Can’t say enough good things about how Disneyworld makes it such a fun experience.

  • Katie October 8, 2010, 7:49 am

I’ve crossed off going to Italy, Ireland and Hawaii off my list. Dreams include becoming successfully fluent in another language and maybe one day getting the chance to paint full time. I’m really happy about what’s already happened in my life.

  • Michele October 8, 2010, 7:54 am

Still To Do: 1. publish non-fiction book; 2. publish in a peer-reviewed journal; 3. half marathon; 4. visit Paris; 5. further work on my tendency to procrastinate

Things Crossed Off the Bucket List: 1. see several Broadway musicals; 2. go on a cruise; 3. speak about health and weight loss to a large group of people.

Something I Regret Not Doing: being in the studio audience of the Oprah show. I grew up with Oprah and always thought I’d see her show one day. Now, it’s the last season… and alas, I never saw the show.

  • Lee October 8, 2010, 7:55 am

I’ve crossed off run a marathon. I’d still like to go back to London. Does that count as being on my bucket list if I’ve done it before?

  • Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman October 8, 2010, 7:58 am

    Adventures I’ve Crossed Off:
    1. Sky dive
    2. Bungee jump
    3. Learn another language
    4. Get married

    Adventures Still to Come:
    1. Have a baby
    2. Write a novel
    3. See the pyramids
    4. See the Great Wall of China

    • Vikki October 8, 2010, 9:48 am

You know…you can tick that novel writing one off in November. November is the national novel writing month (its actually international). Thousands of people write a 50,000 word novel in that month. This will be year four for me. (I’m revising last year’s novel and hope to submit it to agents in April. I’m sure I’ll get rejected, but that is on my bucket list). Go to http://www.nanowrimo.org and sign up. You’ll have a blast!

      • Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman October 8, 2010, 9:57 am

I was actually planning to do NaNoWriMo but jumped the gun early. I’m not sure if I’ll hit 50K by Dec. 1 but at least the idea has pushed me to start.

I should amend my bucket list. Like, you it’s publish a novel. Infinitely more difficult. 🙂

        • Vikki October 8, 2010, 11:27 am

Hook up with your region and go to the kickoff and any write-ins they have. The support makes it sooooo much easier. (I’m a Municipal Liaison for the Columbia SC region). Trust me on this. 🙂

      • Tracey @ I'm Not Superhuman October 8, 2010, 11:30 am

        Thanks for the tip!

        • eatmovelove October 8, 2010, 1:15 pm

How do you know who to contact re: agents, etc.? It seems everyone I contact I don’t hear back from or all over the place with either email or mail…

  • Freya October 8, 2010, 7:59 am

    My top dreams:
    Live in America
    Fall in love
    Love myself
I haven’t achieved any of them yet! Buuut running a marathon is one of my dreams, and I’ll be doing that in 3 weeks 🙂

  • Food & Other Things October 8, 2010, 8:00 am

Thank you for sharing this note! I hope to complete an ironman triathlon, write a book, and live in another country.

  • tina October 8, 2010, 8:12 am

my #1 dream is to open my own dailey method studio!!! i’m already working towards it… so hopefully in the next 5 years! 🙂

i also want to literally travel around the globe- africa, dubai, australia, across europe, you name it!

  • Samantha Angela @ Bikini Birthday October 8, 2010, 8:18 am

I ticked “Wear a Bikini” off my to-do list! And I’m so proud of that 😀

    http://gamereviewwiki.com/bikinibirthday/mygoal/

  • Wei-Wei October 8, 2010, 8:19 am

    “Live.”

  • Juli D. October 8, 2010, 8:20 am

Visit all the microbreweries in Michigan (56 out of 82 so far), visit all the National Parks in the US (5 of 58 so far), watch a game in all the baseball stadiums (3 of 30 so far) and hockey arenas (4 of 30 so far) in the US/Canada – All I really want to do is retire and spend all my time with my family, friends and dogs. 🙂

  • Emmanuelle October 8, 2010, 8:26 am

I would love to find a career that suits me. Well ok I kind of know where I want to go, and I’m working towards it but it will take some time – years probably – before my business is up and running.
And I would love to live in yet another country. Ok I do live in a country (Belgium) which is not the country where I was born (France), and I lived in the UK and Spain as a student, but a change of continents would not be bad.

One thing I’ve crossed off my list, which was my #1 dream for ages: travel to Japan. Lovely Boyfriend and me did just that in August 🙂

  • Tina October 8, 2010, 8:33 am

Okay, that’s just creepy. My post I JUST finished typing to be published at 9 is all about my dreams for a future 10 years from now. LOL

  • Erica October 8, 2010, 8:41 am

The Grand Canyon is amazing – my husband and I just got back from a trip there. If you really want to experience it, I suggest doing a day hike INTO the canyon. That way you get away from the crowds of tourists eating ice cream on the rim, and you really get a sense of the beauty and vastness of it. Not saying we didn’t do our fair share of ice cream eating and rim sitting, but those did not even compare to hiking.

Things I need to do include traveling to England (i’m so jealous of your British hubby!), spend time in Europe, and run a marathon.

  • elyssa October 8, 2010, 8:45 am

i really want to live in europe. preferably a cottage in the czech countryside!

  • thetreadmilldiaries October 8, 2010, 8:46 am

Live life to the fullest. Though it may sound general, life really is a blank canvas that you can fill with so many things – love, family, friends, travel, hobbies, learning, etc.

I would feel good knowing that I did as much as I could and that I enjoyed each experience.

  • Sarena (The Non Dairy Queen) October 8, 2010, 8:54 am

I have helped my husband get his illustration career off the ground and the one thing for me that I would like to do is definitely publish a cookbook.

  • Andrea October 8, 2010, 8:54 am

I don’t have a bucket list. I do have two over-arching goals in life: 1. To raise a happy, self-confident and self-loving child and 2. To remain in a state of happy commitment to my husband.

But I would love to go to Rio for Carnival!!!! There, I’ve started a bucket list! 🙂

  • lisasfoods October 8, 2010, 8:56 am

    Things I’ve checked off:
    1. Traveled to Asia and Europe
    2. Earned a master’s degree
    3. Have a garden

Things that still need to happen:
    1. Travel to Africa and South America
    2. Write a book
    3. Live in NYC
    4. Live abroad

There are so many things to do! (Oh, and you must get to the Grand Canyon. We went there last winter, and it was beautiful and incredible – especially in the snow.)

  • Stacey October 8, 2010, 8:56 am

I want to visit the grand canyon too! I’d love to hike it one day and camp at the bottom 🙂 But right now my biggest goal is to do a marathon this year!

  • Emily October 8, 2010, 9:00 am

I want to go to the Rockies, the Grand Canyon, Mt Hood in Oregon, run a 1/2 marathon…maybe even a full 🙂 Oh and go to Greece!!

  • Jess @ atasteofconfidence October 8, 2010, 9:02 am

Grand canyon is awesome! I really want to go to Rome!

  • Carolyn @ lovinlosing October 8, 2010, 9:04 am

I have this crazy urge to stand at the edge of a plateau out west. Weird, huh?

    • Caitlin October 8, 2010, 12:50 pm

      I like that urge.

  • Madeline - Greens and Jeans October 8, 2010, 9:05 am

The Grand Canyon is gorgeous. Definitely go either in early spring or late fall so the floor isn’t too hot and the rim isn’t too cold! I just put a big check mark next to “run a marathon!”

  • Katie @ Healthy Heddleston October 8, 2010, 9:26 am

Wow I have a lot on my list. I have a long list of countries/states/trips I want to do.. As well as family, personal, and professional goals too 🙂 Tooo long to list everything:P

  • Morgan @ Life After Bagels October 8, 2010, 9:31 am

GOING BACK TO SCHOOL! I want to go back to school and finish my business degree more than you could ever know. Luckily I’m taking steps to work towards it right now.

  • Amanda Davis October 8, 2010, 9:36 am

I want to write a book, run a marathon, and go to Australia.

When you go to the Grand Canyon also take a trip to Zion National Part it’s close and also breathtaking!

  • Annie@stronghealthyfit October 8, 2010, 9:36 am

I want to road trip across the country, live on the West coast for awhile, and Europe too 🙂

  • Jes (@Self Motivation) October 8, 2010, 9:37 am

I went skydiving, stomped grapes like in I Love Lucy, and followed my heart…. the best decision I ever made.

  • Mariel October 8, 2010, 9:38 am

    Hello,

In case you have not read the article http://www.marieclaire.com/print-this/health-fitness/news/articles/health-blogger-controversy?page=all….what is your view on it? it is quite controversial indeed.

  • Lindsay @ The Ketchup Diaries October 8, 2010, 9:40 am

I want to travel Europe and go to Japan. I also want lots of babies – does that count for going on a bucket list?

  • Michelle @ IronDivas October 8, 2010, 9:52 am

    1. 10k (already scheduled!), 1/2 marathon, IronGirl
    2. Trapeze Lessons!
    3. Skydiving (#2 & #3 scare me but I want to conquer the fear)
    4. Travel overseas and experience other cultures (and food! lol)

    • Michelle @ IronDivas October 8, 2010, 9:56 am

Oh, and me and the other co-founder of my women’s fitness group want to learn how to:

      1. Organize our own 5k race to fundraise money for a selected charity.

      2. Organize a bike ride cross-state to also fundraise money for a selected charity.

  • Vikki October 8, 2010, 9:55 am

Those of you that want to write a book. http://www.nanowrimo.org It helped me tick that one off my bucket list. 🙂

    Things I’ve ticked off.
    1. Write a book (I’ve written three)
    2. Visit countries other than the US (Mexico, Canada, Switzerland, Italy, France)
    3. See the Grand Canyon. (done that twice)
    4. See the Pacific Ocean.

    Things still to do.
    1. Submit multiple books to agents. (I can’t control the publication thing, but I can control the trying to get published.)
    2. Visit all 50 states (I think I have 10 left.)
    3. Go to China and Japan.
    4. Go back to Europe.
    5. Become fluent in another language.

  • Carly (Swim, Run, Om) October 8, 2010, 9:58 am

I’ve got tons of goals — ultimately I want to live in England with an herb garden and be known as the eccentric American.

  • Shutupandrun October 8, 2010, 9:59 am

i studied abroad in spain and i want to go back. this time with my husband.

  • Joanne October 8, 2010, 10:06 am

Every year my goals change. Some that I’ve achieved already I would have never imagined when I was younger.
As for travel, the Greek Islands is on my list.

  • Amy October 8, 2010, 10:15 am

The most immediate thing on my list right now: Resign from my current job so that I can focus more fully on completing my master’s degree and starting my new career. So excited and scared!

  • Camille October 8, 2010, 10:18 am

One huge thing I have ticked off my bucket list is moving out of San Diego, my hometown. But, I have my whole bucket list posted here: http://embraceyourskin.wordpress.com/bucket-list/

  • Balanced Healthy Life October 8, 2010, 10:18 am

I want to visit France and Italy. I also want to run a marathon before I start having babies! : )
I live a couple hours south of the Grand Canyon and still haven’t been there! I would like to go hiking there once the weather is warmer!

  • Jamie @ Food in Real Life October 8, 2010, 10:20 am

I’d like to run a full marathon one day.
And maybe, just maybe jump out of a plane and go skydiving.

  • Jessica October 8, 2010, 10:22 am

Things that I have checked of my list:

    1. Get my Bachelor’s degree

    2. Hear the Dalai Lama speak in person/ meet him
    3. Find a career/job that I cannot wait to go to each day
    4. Buy an older, 2 or 3 bedroom house and fix it up! (with a porch)

Of course there are still lots of other things on the list!

  • Amanda October 8, 2010, 10:28 am

So many things! I want to visit Ireland, teaching something and work on a farm! Those are just a few…

  • Clare @ Fitting It All In October 8, 2010, 10:33 am

There are a bunch of silly things I want to do – run a marathon, ride in a hot air balloon, be my own boss.

But the most important is that I want to have children. If I can have a family, life will be complete

  • Lindsey @ Gingerbread Bagels October 8, 2010, 10:35 am

The one dream I wanted to achieve exactly 1 year ago was saving my life. I was in the hospital fighting for my life. Now 1 year later I’m healthy and enjoying life. That was my one big dream.

  • Rebekah @ Rebeltarian October 8, 2010, 10:38 am

Running my first half-marathon…which I will be doing next weekend!

    • Chandra (@ prettytimepiece) October 8, 2010, 10:43 am

i’m running my first half next weekend too! 🙂 i’m really excited. one of my life goals is definitely to run a full marathon.

others: publish a book, graduate from art school, become a professional photographer, travel everywhere i can, be surrounded by friends, be happy, own knee-high pink boots, own a Betsey Johnson dress, learn to rollerblade. lol 🙂

  • Emily October 8, 2010, 10:53 am

The quote on your post-it note was my senior quote in my yearbook this year.
I would love to spend part of a summer working on a sustainable farm, and biggest part of my bucket list is finding a job I’m excited to go to after I graduate college.

  • Andrea (@ Puppy Dog Tales) October 8, 2010, 10:58 am

I love this post-it. So true. I find myself getting emersed in the little things (house clean, laundry done, etc) that I don’t make time to do fun/adventurous things. That needs to change. Thanks for the reminder!!!! Life is too short to worry about the minutia (sp?). 🙂

  • Erin October 8, 2010, 11:02 am

I’ve been lucky to travel and live in some amazing places: Thailand & Korea, Australia & New Zealand, all over Europe and Central America. Still on the list: Mt. Kilimanjaro, Antarctica, Peru and Russia.

  • Jessica @ Jessica Balances October 8, 2010, 11:03 am

A few things I’m proud to have crossed off my list… graduate from college, run a half marathon and get a job at a magazine publishing company. 🙂 All of those happened within about six months, actually – very cool! Future goals: marry the love of my life, own and take care of a dog and realize my full creative potential as a writer.

  • Marg October 8, 2010, 11:11 am

I’ve been working on a list of things before I’m 30 in a little less than a year and a half. I still have a lot to add to it, but some of mine are start my Master’s, travel out of the country, go to D.C., run a race out of town.

  • Allison October 8, 2010, 11:19 am

My biggest goal right now is first to register and train for a tri-a-thalon (I’ve done a few marathons) and then to travel Italy, Greece and Austria!

  • Natalia - a side of simple October 8, 2010, 11:32 am

I’m going to own a horse. It isn’t even a question. I’ve always wanted to go to the Grand Canyon, too!

  • Chelsea @ healthsea October 8, 2010, 11:34 am

Have a kid or two, and visit another country!

  • Candice @ChiaSeedMe October 8, 2010, 11:40 am

Things I’ve crossed off are: live overseas, run a marathon, become a yoga instructor, marry the love of my life, own a yorkie.

Things I still want to accomplish: adopt a baby, have a baby, hike to the top of a mountain (preferably Machu Picchu), help my husband take our business full time, get paid as a photographer and writer and see my grandparents meet my children.

  • brianna October 8, 2010, 11:47 am

i recently moved across the country by myself in pursuit of one of my dreams–earning my phd. next year, when my boyfriend is able to move as well, i am looking forward to getting married and starting a family. also a trip to italy!

professional goals include publishing a book!

  • Laura (Blogging Over Thyme) October 8, 2010, 11:48 am

I went hiking and camping in the Grand Canyon, it was incredible! I crossed off something on my bucket list last year that I never thought I would ever ever do (and that honestly wasn’t even on the list). Sky diving–so incredibly amazing and I’m scared of heights!!

  • Anne October 8, 2010, 12:00 pm

    Climb Mt Rainier!!

(and overcome by negative body image … which is more important?) One seems so achievable and the other completely out of reach. Did the NYC marathon — a blast and the best for first time marathon runners — a 26 mile party!

My husband and I travel extensively and the next places on the list is Russia — St Petersburg and Moscow. I’ve always wanted to visit Fez and Casablanca and take a 2 week driving tour in Spain.

    • Caitlin October 8, 2010, 12:53 pm

Have you checked out the blog Fat Woman on a Mountain? This comment made me think of her because I think she climbed Mt. Rainier or some other ridiculous peak and used the experience to overcome body image issues. She’s pretty epic.

      • Anne October 8, 2010, 1:08 pm

Thanks for the continuing inspiration. I’ll check out her blog. Quick glance — she hiked Kilimanjaro (also on my bucket list!)
Have a great day and you’ll be awesome in the marathon! My mantra when things got tough during NYC was singing “One foot in front of the other” from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer — the part when the Abominable snowman gets coaxed out of the cave… Crazy but worked!

        Cheers!

    • Allison October 8, 2010, 1:46 pm

I studied abroad in St. Petersburg last year, and it’s an incredible place… I fell in love with Moscow, too. You’ll have a such a wonderful time 🙂

  • whitney October 8, 2010, 12:02 pm

I want to visit San Diego Ca and eventually run a marathon out there.Along with potentially owning a home there.

  • Johanna B October 8, 2010, 12:05 pm

I’ve given birth. I’ve walked a 10K (Crescent City Classic in New Orleans). I’ve earned a Master’s Degree. I’ve seen the Atlantic and the Pacific. Got lots more though so I’d better live a long time.

There are many things on my bucket list…but I am most proud of ticking off “running a half marathon” and I will eventually (read: in a couple years…I think) have enough time to effectively train for a marathon and be able to check that off the list as well! Another one on the list is to ski in the mountains and swim in the oceans of Chile!

I am heading to the Grand Cayon in 3 weeks with my husband…it is both of our first times and we are beyond excited. I think it will be very surreal to see something so awesome that is not mad made!

  • Kelly October 8, 2010, 12:18 pm

    oops…I meant man made! 🙂

I want to meet the love of my life, get married, have kids, and TRAVEL! Oh, and open my wedding cake business.

  • Amber K October 8, 2010, 12:41 pm

My dream is still definitely to become a mom. I never would have thought that I would come to today (my fourth wedding anniversary) and still be childless. But it’ll happen when it’s meant to!

Hopefully I will achieve one of my goals TOMORROW! I will be hiking Half Dome at Yosemite National Park!

Love this post today! It’s my 40th b-day today so I’ve given a lot of thought to this lately- my first 10k is on the list and maybe a half at some point!

  • Ali October 8, 2010, 12:52 pm

I love this post 🙂 I still want to:

    1. Be a mommy (not any time soon)
    2. Write a book
    3. Find a job that allows me the freedom to have the lifestyle I want.
    4. Run a marathon
    5. Go back to Rome

I have kicked the following things off my buclet list:

    1. Find a way to inspire others (as least I think I do)
    2. Run a half marathon
    3. Marry someone I can;t live with out
    4. Visit Italy
    5. Be a dog mom

Oh man…I think I agree/would want all of those!!!

  • Orla October 8, 2010, 1:07 pm

I have already ticked off posing nude for a photo- I took part in the Spencer Tunick Installation 2 years ago in Dublin. And I also ticked off the London Marathon.
Still to do!? Visit Napa, and spend a couple weeks working on a ranch. AND then going back to college to study nutrition. Jeez- long list- I better get moving!

  • Cynthia (It All Changes) October 8, 2010, 1:12 pm

I have lots of things on that list. But the one I’m working on right now and want so bad is to adopt a baby. Hunni and I are excited to be parents and can’t wait for the process to happen.

  • Heather October 8, 2010, 3:20 pm

Saw your other post, great job on the 20 mile run!

My bucket list includes running a marathon, having a family of my own. I’m thinking Marathon in 2011.

Thanks for tweeting that Girl Scout link and for following our Girl Scout council, GSCCC! I think Operation Beautiful and the self-esteem program the Girl Scouts have are so connected (Girls on the Run too for that matter!) Keep doing a great job! (By the way, the Girl Scout council in your area is Girl Scouts Hornets’ Nest Council…they’re on twitter at GSHNC if you’re interested!)

My husband doens’t like the fact I call it a bucket list, he likes to refer to it as a “Life List”. Crossed off Italy and Relay for Life(will do it every year now), still have living in Europe for a year before our kids go off to college and to complete 1/2 marathon and donate the medal to a child going through cancer treatments.

The other day I was sifting through stacks of papers and notebooks that had gathered in the corner of my room to clean them all out and I stumbled across a notebook which contained a Bucket List I’d made last year.
There were about 30 things on this bucket list and I had completely forgotten about it.
I was extremely happy to see that I have actually achieved about 45% of the things on that list since now and then!

One of the biggest, most prominent successes was having my writing published in a newspaper or magazine. I feel like I can proudly say I’ve accomplished that one, having been published 5 times in the local and national newspaper and been in a national magazine twice.

Right now though I need to focus on my happiness.

This is my favorite post it to date! I want to post one saying that on my mirror.

  • Danielle in Australia! October 8, 2010, 6:19 pm

Ticked off my bucket list: My hubby, 2 children & I just got back from 6 weeks in Europe. Spending that quality time together, creating amazing memories was priceless and something that I know I’ll reflect on for the rest of my life.
To Do: I want to run a half marathon and I want to take my children to Disneyland (although some tell me that Disney world is better?)- all I know is that we have nothing like it in Australia and I would love to see my children’s faces!

Recently Hood to Coast was on my “to do list” and I accomplished that! I have a few months before I need to start training for my next goal. A Half Marathon!

  • Krista @ Can't Survive on Yarn Alone October 8, 2010, 11:29 pm

I’ve just started a list, though just a mental one for now. It is not everything but:

    Run a 5k
    Be a mom
Travel Route 66 as a roadtrip
    Learn to sew
Make and serve a more complex meal completely from scratch

Hubs & I actually spent out honeymoon hiking and camping in the Grand Canyon. It was technically the Havasupai reservation (http://www.havasupaitribe.com/) which is in the canyon. It was an amazing, nervewracking (not good w heights!) and once in a lifetime trip. Getting ready for it and the ten mile hike was actually my turning point to focus on being in better shape. (I plan to blog about this in the near future.)

Once in a lifetime = bc afterwards there was extreme flooding and Mother Nature changed a lot of the falls and general area.

    I love that quote!!

  • Lacey @ Lake Life October 9, 2010, 11:00 am

About 13 years ago I got to scratch “Visit New Orleans” off my list. I’m so grateful I got to see it before Katrina hit. It’s still my favorite city!
