Make a plan, and God laughs in your face.
I’m currently packing up my car to drive down to Florida to be with the Husband and my in-laws due to a family emergency. Obviously, this sucks because a family member is in crisis. But it’s also (significantly less sucky) that I was planning on running a half marathon and I had a college friend and her husband coming into town for an entire week. But family comes first above everything else. My entry fee for the race wasn’t that steep, and my friends are going to stay at our place and house-sit.
The Hus has actually been in Florida for the past week, and now that it looks like he wouldn’t be coming home another week. I miss him a lot… plus, the family really needs me, so I’m taking off (and bringing my computer so I’ll still be blogging). Sorry to be so cryptic – but the problem isn’t about me, and I’m just respecting privacy.
I was actually up until 2 AM dealing with said issue, so I was absolutely knackered when I woke up this morning. I ended up going back to bed at 10:30 AM and sleeping until 2 PM. I just made lunch, and now I’m going to pack up the car and begin the 8 hour journey.
Lunch:
A hummus, pesto, spinach, and roasted artichoke wrap with a side of roasted broccoli.
See you in Florida.
Sounds like serious business!! I hope everything works out for the best!
I just started making roasted broc and I don’t think I want to eat any other way!! It’s SOOO delicious..esp. when the “leaves” get a little burnt.
