Its a real whirlwind in Boston right now!
Around 11:00, we started to stuff the Swag Bags — these gift bags are AMAZING!
The shirts aren’t so bad, either! 🙂
And the room — the room looks amazing!
I also put together the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Bake Sale. We have over 30 bakers participating, and I hope we raise a lot of money in my friend’s honor!
I snacked on half of a Glo Bar while we prepared. Angela — these are amazing! You are going to be a famous baker for sure!
After we set up most of the stuff, the planning committee (Kath, Tina, Meghann, Heather, Jenna, and I) walked to our complimentary lunch at Small Plates.
Small Plates is this super cute tapas restaurant that Tina is obsessed with — and rightly so!
We ate a SEVEN COURSE MEAL for lunch! And honestly, this was one of the BEST meals I have ever eaten. Truly! Now, this looks like a ton of food, but I only had a few bites of each thing (I knew we were going to get a lot of munchies!).
We started off with a killer cheese plate.
And crusty French bread with homemade dipping sauce. The rosemary was from the garden out back!
And a glass of amazing sweet white wine. It was Le Droissy Martin Vouvray from France.
Then we had cold soup (gazpacho) topped with creme fraiche and chile oil:
Next up: puff pastry pizza with a million different lovely flavors on top!
And then…. bruschetta with eggplant and balsamic ving:
And THEN (I swear I only had bites of each!)… squash fettuccine.
And finally… DESERT! Cupcakes were provided by Babycakes and Confections and they were the BEST!
THANK YOU, Small Plates! It was amazing.
We came back to the hotel and finished some last minute preparations! And I found Hangry Mark setting up our live stream system for tomorrow.
You can watch the Summit LIVE tomorrow. Find out how HERE!
Time to get ready for the cocktail party!
Wow, everything looks super! What a lot of hard work you ladies put into everything. You must all be feeling so proud right about now.
And your lunch looks amazing–yum!
